The repayment you make anyway should pay you something back.

Veend is for Nigerians carrying a loan and buying at the market every week, and it returns naira on both, with the amount shown before you confirm.

One salary week, told the way it actually goes

Picture a federal worker on payroll in Lagos. Her salary lands, and before she has touched it the deduction for her loan instalment has already left, on a date she cannot move, in an amount she cannot reduce. She was never late once. Nothing came back for that.

On Saturday she goes to the market, because about 72 percent of the shoppers in our own survey buy at open stalls rather than chains, and so does she. Rice, tomatoes, oil, transport home. No printed receipt, so no cashback app can touch it, and no stall there runs a loyalty card of its own. She pays full price, walks home, and counts what is left for the rest of the month.

Both payments were already decided. Neither of them gave her anything in return, and that is the part Veend changes.

What happens on that same Saturday with Veend open

Nothing about her day changes except where the money goes afterwards. She buys from the same trader, at the same stall, for the same price, and she pays on the terminal the trader already uses.

Worked example at pilot rates

One attributed market run of ₦31,000 at an enrolled stall.

Commission the trader pays on this sale ₦2,170
Your cashback Who referred you Veend and payment costs

₦930

Her cashback balance

₦62

The friend who referred her

₦1,178

Veend, payment and settlement

Illustrative pilot rates. Your own rate is shown in the app before you confirm any payment.

And on the 28th, her instalment of ₦60,000 comes round again

Paid through the app, a rebate of ₦600 is posted against that instalment, against the same payment she was making regardless. Paid by bank transfer, nothing comes back, exactly as before.

Three steps, and you can see every naira

No receipt to photograph, no claim form, no rate that changes after you have paid.

Step 1

Scan the Veend code and pay

The trader keeps the terminal they already use. The scan is what ties the sale to your account, which is why an open stall works the same as a supermarket.

Step 2

See the split before you confirm

Your cashback, your referrer's share and what Veend keeps are all on the confirmation screen in naira, not percentages, before you tap.

Step 3

It lands in its own balance

Cashback sits apart from your spendable wallet and from referral earnings, and every pending credit shows the date and time it is due.

Where the money comes from, said plainly

Your cashback is not a marketing budget nobody can see. Traders and brands already pay a commission to reach buyers, and lenders already price the cost of being repaid on time. Veend takes that money, shows you the split, and pays your share into your balance. That is the whole mechanism, and it is why the amount can be shown to you before you pay instead of after.

What stands behind this

A licensed Nigerian lender

Veend already lends in Nigeria across payroll, buy now pay later, energy and venture loans, with support running every day. The repayment rebate runs on those same rails.

Around 9,000 borrowers already repaying

The repayment relationship is live today, and more than 5,000 people dial the Veend USSD line on an ordinary day. The pilot starts with the people already here.

What 53 shoppers told us

In our own field survey, about 72 percent buy at open markets, 85 percent wanted cashback on what they already buy, and 81 percent wanted one place to compare merchants and lenders.

Beware of scams

Veend will never ask you to send money to an unknown account to unlock a bigger loan or a bigger cashback. Cashback is credited inside the app only. If anything looks wrong, speak to support before you pay anyone.

Fair questions

The ones people ask first, answered the way we would answer them in the market.

Does my trader need a new machine?

No. The trader keeps the terminal and the way they already take money. A Veend code at the stall is what attributes the sale, so nothing about their till setup has to change.

When does the money actually reach me?

Every pending cashback carries the date and time it is due to land, and every credit traces back to the purchase, stall or repayment that produced it. If a payment fails you see the failure and the reason, never a silent reversal.

Is this points, or is it real money?

Naira, held in a cashback balance of its own, separate from your spendable wallet and from anything you earn by referring someone. No tiers to climb and no expiry clock running on it.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing. Joining the pilot list is free and so is the Regular tier of the app. You earn on spending and repayments you were already making.

I have no loan right now. Can I still use it?

Yes. Start with cashback on groceries, airtime and transport at enrolled stalls, and link a repayment later if you ever take one.

Start at your market, or start with your next repayment

Join the pilot list and we will message you the day your market or your repayment goes live. It takes a phone number and nothing else.

  1. 1

    We confirm your number

One message, one code, and nothing charged to you.

  2. 2

    Your balances are set up

Spendable wallet, cashback and referral earnings, kept separate from the first day.

  3. 3

A stall purchase or your next instalment, whichever comes first, with the amount shown before you confirm.

Your details are processed by LaunchValid (AmpFi App LLC) on behalf of this project.

Veend will never ask you to send money to an unknown account to get access. If anyone asks, contact support first.

She was paying both of those anyway. Now one of them pays her.

If you carry a loan, or you buy groceries, airtime and transport most weeks, you are the person this is built for.
